↘ Residential Canal Calypso Bay Jacobs Well

This Calypso Bay residence draws heavily on Mediterranean coastal influences, using soft curves, deep arches and a restrained white palette to create a relaxed waterfront character that feels right at home beside the canal. The strong arched entry becomes the focal point of the façade, softened by textured sponge-finish render, natural stone detailing and warm timber tones. Curved planter walls, cactus planting, hanging greenery and subtle feature lighting continue the Mediterranean feel without making the home feel overly themed. Set against the canals of Calypso Bay, the design is intended to feel bright, calm and resort-like, with the yachts, water and neighbouring contemporary homes forming part of the overall setting. Gabion stone walls to each side add another layer of texture and help ground the crisp white forms, while the low horizontal proportions and clean detailing keep the home modern and suited to the Gold Coast lifestyle. Overall, it is a contemporary Mediterranean building design shaped around curves, texture, light and waterfront living.
